TSG75 - Marigold

This week's colour challenge over at the TSG blog is brought to use by the very talented Corinna! She's challenged us to use lime green, orange and purple on our cards. These colours are ideal for Halloween cards but I chose to create an all purpose card using the Bloom stamp set.

If you read my blog often then you know that I generally stay away from purples. They really aren't my friends because whenever I try to use them, they always argue with me ;) It seems that my purples just don't not get along with me, but they don't get along with each other either...the cardstock has serious issues with matching the designer papers.

I water coloured the marigold (at least I think that's what it is ;) with my tombow markers and a water brush. I then sponged around the outside of the image and papers with some brown inks. I mixed some Lemonade and Kiyoto Basic Grey paper lines together to get the shades needed to create the colour challenge with and finished it off with some ribbon and crochet lace.

Don't forget that you can participate in the TSG challenges along with the Trendsetters to have a chance to win a gift certificate to the There She Goes store. Just upload your card to the TSG75 post (Inlinkz) and the challenge is open until the winner is announced on October 11th.  Have fun and I can't wait to see what you create! :)
