SC202 - Psalm 23

Yay! I actually got to participate in an SCS challenge on the actual day of the Challenge! What a rarity that is! This is my submission for today's Sketch Challenge SC202. The moment I saw the challenge I knew that it would be perfect for my Psalms 23 stamp which is one of the November's releases from Our Daily Bread Designs.

I started the whole card off by picking one peice of designer paper, in this case a piece of Basic Grey from the Stella Ruby Collection (I actually remembered what the designer paper was for a change...another rarity!) lol

I inked up my stamp with Versa Mark and then again with Rose Red to get the beautful colouring of the words. I really like to do this especially with sentiments because it adds such richness to a card when it is heat embossed with embossing powder.

I picked my coordinating colours from my designer paper and then went with those for the matting. I love the look of cards when they are slightly distressed to appear vintage and this technique really lends itself well to the Stella Ruby paper. It's all about the paper don't 'cha know! lol

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs - Psalm 23
Paper: Papertrey White, Very Vanilla, Sage Shadow, Basic Grey DP
Ink: Versa Mark, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Sewing Machine, Square Punches (1 1/4" & 1 3/8") Corner Rounder Punch, Dimensionals, Brads, Grosgrain Ribbon, Embossing Powder, Sponges
