Artful INKables Double Post ...

I started out the evening making this sweet little 4 1/4" square card (thanks to Laurie Wilson who has not gotten me addicted to making these) with my Art INKables Sunburst Dandy's set. This is one of the images embossed with gold embossing powder and then watercoloured with re-inkers. I popped up the flower with a dimensional and then cut up another flower image and made the corner adornments.

The little embellishments are actually from the jewelry section from Michaels. They are flat backed and made for decorating bangle bracelets - perfect for cards :) lol

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Artful INKables Sunburst Dandy's
Paper: Papertrey White, More Mustard, Bazzil Bling, Crate DP
Ink: More Mustard, Versa Mark, Baha Blue, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Sewing Machine, Cuttlebug, Scallop and Circle Punches, Metal Embellishments, Paint Brush, Re-Inkers, Embossing Powder, Fold-em Template

So after making the first card, I noticed that the Dare to be Dirty Challenges for Fan Club Members have started up and of course I had to participate!!! This one is a combined challenge card for Laurie and Jodie's challenges to use vellum and to be inspired by a ribbon. My vellum panel has been stamped with a glue pad and then poured on the glitter (vellum is layered over the Tangerine Tango).

I got a little glitter crazed and ended up wearing alot of it, so I covered most of the card in it too! You should see this card in real life :) I added the funky ribbon that I was inspired by and this card although simple is actually very striking!

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Artful INKables Plant Prints
Paper: Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Vellum, Papertrey White
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Glue Pad
Accessories: Ribbon, Button, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Glitter, Dimensionals

Kim these are both truly a work of art!!! I just don't know how you do it. How long does it take you to make one card?? I would take me days to complete something like this, and it still would not be up to your quality.

Beautiful cards Kim! love that cut and fold template you use and what a great idea to cut the flower image for your corner adornments!

And the fern is just my most favorite stamp from this set - Love the red ones on your border- fun 4x4 cards!

Kim,
I stumbled across your blog - and will say that I am in "AWE" of your work. You are a very talented lady! Can I visit you and take some lessons from you? LOL. I really admire the cards you have made - I love the cross card - very delicate and beautiful!
Thanks for sharing your work!
