A Land Far, Far, Away!

It has been awhile since I have posted something non-design team related, so here goes! This is a card that I made last month! I just love how it turned out :) This is a stamp set from Lizzie-Anne Designs that I have coveted for some time! I purchased the set because I have a very hard time finding little girl images that are not doodley and are not just flowers! When I ended up ordering this set, sooo many other goodies fell into my cart, and I didn't have the heart to return them, unloved to the store!!! lol

My little girl is such a princess and diva all rolled up in one, so this is the perfect set to own for her :) I started out by following and old Splitcoast sketch challenge and then added all the 3D elements to my center. The castle is popped up in many places as are the princess and dragon. I paired these stamps up with the Basic Grey Sugared line of DP's because I wanted it to be beautiful without being overly juvenile.

I have included my homemade little drawbridge, because what castle doesn't have one of theses to go over the moat? The moat has been clear embossed to that it appears wet (although it is really hard to tell in the photos!)

This card really was a labour of love! It took me a little longer to make than most of my cards with all the colouring/shading and paper tole. I truly think that it was worth every second that I spent on it! (I'm a little biased and very proud of the way this one turned out!) - Can you tell? LOL

An lastly, what fairy tale princess is complete without her frog prince! I save this darling little frog for the surprise on the inside of the card!

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Lizzie-Anne Designs
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Papertrey White, Watercolour, Basic Grey DP, Creamy Caramel

Accessories: Sewing Machine, Cuttlebug, Markers, Aqua Painter, Dimensonals, Pretties Kit, Embossing Powder, Stickles, Sponges, Cloud Stencil, Pastels
