SC206 - Worship the Lord

I finally got a chance to use my new ODBD stamp set called Worship the Lord. I love the winter church image that comes with the set, but I am saving it for another card that I will show you later *wink* I really wanted to use the verse and it couldn't have been more perfect to work with today's Spitcoast Sketch Challenge SC206.

To make the sketch work for me, I simply made the card into a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 square card and turned it on it's side so that I could add the scripture. I love the font that Kelley chose to create the Psalm with so I felt that it needed to be on an elegant base.

For the circles, I added a cuttlebug die cut under each of them and had them overlap so that it would fit into my nestabilites die cuts. I made the flowers from my Boho Blossom punch after. I recently saw Jenn Muraoka's card. I immediately added to my favourites so that I could try to make one of the flowers at a later date! Thanks Jenn for the fabulous inspiration :)

Check back here tomorrow because I will be putting together my very first tutorial to show you and it will be how to create these cute little 3 dimensional flowers!

I almost always heat emboss stamped images for all of my cards. It adds texture and elegance to any stamp even the most simple in nature. For the scripture above I inked up my stamp in Versa Mark first, then added chocolate chip ink right over top of the Versa Mark. I breathed on it with my severe garlic breath (thanks to my hubby for his wonderful pasta dinner) to freshen up the ink....or to scare in into reactivating! I stamped it, then covered it in clear embossing powder and heated. Easy peasy!
