A Christmas Candle

I have always wanted to try a stamped candle after seeing so many beautiful ones on Splitcoast! I don't know about in the US, but in Canada the retail stores start putting out Christmas Decorations on November 1st since Thanksgiving is already finished here. I was running some errands and doing a little shopping when I was reminded about all the gorgeous Christmas candles that are already making their appearances. That of course led me to follow this tutorial to create my own!

I was actually surprised at how easy it was! I used one of the Our Daily Bread Designs November releases called Joy to the World to create my Christmas candle. I really wanted to create a little gift box for it that had some resemblance of a manger and this is what I came up with! lol

I used one of Lauren Meader's new MyTimeless Templates to create the box. Before I assembled it used the Direct to Paper technique to create my wood grain :) So fast and easy! I really didn't want to add too much in way of decoration to the box, because I wanted the highlight of it to be my Christmas candle. I think that these would make fabulous Christmas Gifts for my kid's preschool teachers :) Go ahead -You know you want to try one!! :)

Christmas Candle Ensemble Recipe:

Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs - Joy to the World
Paper: Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Tissue Paper
Ink: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Close To Cocoa, More Mustard
Accessories: Copics, Wax Paper, Ribbon, Large and Small SU Star Punches, Sponges, Mytime Keepsake Box Template, Craft Knife, Heat Gun
