CDS Sneak Peek - Snowman Wishes

Sigh....back to reality! I just arrived home from Maui in the wee hours of the morning and what a rude awakening! When we headed to the airport it was humid, hot and sunny. I came home to fog, rain and cold!!! Brrrr!!!! - I have a bit of a sunburn too which doesn't help matters either ;P

Since I'm feeling cold and had to pull out some winter clothing (although, I was out and about in the cold weather donning my flip flops in total denial of the current weather conditions) I decided that it was time to introduce to you one of my Clear Dollar Stamps friends, Snowman Wishes. This set will be available on Nov 1/08 :) As many of you know, I have a small micro bead addiction and thought that this card was the perfect opportunity to pull them out again to make a shaker card.

I love how fun this card turned out to be! I haven't made a shaker card in a long time and this sweet snowman set was calling for some micro beads. lol
I used some Scenic Route DP with some rich and velvet ribbon and added a button for a warm country touch. If you notice at the top of the card there is icicles. I followed Dawn's video tutorial using Crystal Effects and glitter to make the glittery adornment that added the finishing touch to my card. It was so easy and just too darn cute for Christmas cards :) Thanks Dawn for sharing your technique!
