ISSC09 - Birthday Rose

Happy Friday! Is there any day of the week that is better than a Friday? I think not ;) Since it's Friday that means it's time for another iSpy Sketch Challenge and this week's challenge is ISSC09 is inspired by Emily Keaton's card (ekeaton @ SCS). Here is a link to the original card :)

I made this card for my Mom's Birthday (Happy Birthday Mom!!!) and I used both some Graphic 45 and some Basic Grey Papers. These vintage inspired lines work beautifully together and go really well with the paper tole'd and water coloured rose from Stampin' Up!'s set called Fifth Avenue Floral. I love this set but it's not often that I get a chance to use the giant rose from it. I also added some giant leaves from the Sizzix leaf die that I sponged to try to make a little more realistic looking ;)

Thanks so much for coming by today and I'm hoping that my mom likes this card as much as I do!

Card Recipe:
