What's Brewin'?

Good morning! What better way to start your morning that with a cuppa java. Don't have one? No worries! I have one brewing up for you in a style that's orange and blue and cute all over :D I used my Percolator Circle stamp from Stamping Bella to create this vibrant and fun card.

It's a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4" card that was water coloured with tombow markers and a water brush and I did some cheating shading with my chalk pencil - it's kind of my new favourite thing to do at the moment. For the center of the percolator I added a butterscotch sundae bauble to add a touch of whimsy and to cover up the obscenely pink center of the flower that I got a little carried away on ;) Gotta love a well placed embellishment to hide those boo boos :D

Don't forget that the babes are back this week with a Valentine's Bellarific Challenge for you. Any Stamping Bella Stamps put together in Valentine's fashion will do so off you go and start creating! Don't forget to email Emily (emily@stampingbella.com) your creation by Thursday so that you can be included in a chance to win some Bella Bucks :D

Purple Blossoms and Butterflies

Happy Sunday! Today is my last post over at the Flourishes blog as the January Limelight Designer. I stepped out of my comfort zone to use some purple shades to create this Blossoms and Butterflies card. Please click here to see the entire card :)

A BIG thank you to Jan Marie and Julie for letting me be part of the Flourishes Team for January and for letting me play with some truly beautiful stamps :D

Fuchsias for Lulu

Hi everyone and welcome to this week's edition of non Bellarific Friday ;) I say non because Miss Emily has packed up the store and shipped it off to CHA for the next couple of days so she is a little bit on the insanely busy side of things :) Despite there not being a Bellarific Friday post, I do still have a card to share with you.

For today's card, I used this gorgeous Fuchsias for Lulu stamp by Stamping Bella. I have had this one for awhile but have to admit...I was a little bit intimidated by it because of it's rather large size and because I have seen the some of the other Babes colour it up and didn't think that I could do it justice. I gave it an attempt and have to admit. I'm actually quite impressed with myself :) I love the way it turned out and was even brave enough to used some really bright ribbon on the card too (for those of you who don't already know this...I tend to shy away from purples and hot pink colours). Now, after saying this....the card didn't quite photograph well to get the true hot pinkness of this ribbon!

While Emily is away meeting crafting celebrities and schmoozing in LA, she promised to try to post some of her findings at CHA in all of it's crafty goodness - keep checking back on Bloggabella for some of this sneak peeks and while your there check out the new release and the FREE SHIPPING deets :) Next week we are back with a Valentine's Bellarific Challenge. Any Stamping Bella Stamps put together in Valentine's fashion will do so off you go and start creating! Don't forget to email Emily (emily@stampingbella.com) your creation by Thursday so that you can be included in a chance to win some Bella Bucks :D

Thanks for coming by today and TGIF :D

The Greatest Joy

Happy Thursday! You know why it's happy - because it's one day closer to Friday ;) Today I have a simple but elegant card to show you using the roses from The Greatest Joy set by JustRite Stampers that are available from Stamper's Dream.

I started out with a great layout in mind but as usual, my card kind of morphed into something else. After I water coloured my roses and cut them out, I was trying to arrange them on the card as per the sketch that I had drawn up for it. It just didn't look right to me and the more things that I tried to add to the card, the more that it took away from the beautiful roses.

So, after much cutting of papers and various embellishments pulled from their storage places, I decided to leave the card looking like this. It's simple enough to be a "thinking of you" note card or elegant enough to be a wedding card because the pearls add just a touch of class :) I love when plans go awry and you still come out with something beautiful :D

Thanks for coming by today!

Sentimental Day and Night

Welcome back to the last day of the There She Goes November release sneak peeks! If you have arrived here from Miss Julie's blog then you are in the right place, if not then please start back at the TSG Blog :D

So did you notice yet? Usually there are 4 new TSG releases per month but this month, Jessica decided to dazzle us all with 5 new sets! The first one is called Day or Night and it's a 4x8 stamp set that includes a total of 34 of stamps that will sell for $18. This set was designed by the very talented Torico :)

The second set today is called Sentimental Thank You and is a 2x6 stamp set that includes a total of 6 of stamps and will sell for $7. These sweet sentiments are from our very own Julie Lacey's talented hands - her handwriting that is :D

How would you like a chance to win the Day or Night & Sentimental Thank You stamp set? Here’s what you need to do...just go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Day or Night & Sentimental Thank You Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own Day or Night & Sentimental Thank You stamp set. The winner will be announced Saturday (Feb. 3rd) during the Release Party Chat.

Thanks for coming by today and you are now off to Miss Natalie's blog.

Valentine Box

Hi everyone! If any of you have popped by to see my There She Goes sneak peeks then please keep scrolling down the screen.

The other day I was playing around with some of my spellbinders dies and came up with a rough draft of this little heart hanging box with some scrap paper. Once I got the basic idea, I decided to put it to the test using some older K&Co designer paper and some of my JustRite products from Stamper's Dream. I figured this box would be a sweet surprise for someone to find hanging on their door knob...maybe from a secret admirer? :)

If you look closely at the box itself, you might notice that I used one of the JustRite custom dies from the Nested Sentiment Dies set and then the sentiment is from the Happy Everything Die and Stamp combo. Because this box is using the standard size of Spellbinders heart dies, it's fairly small and doesn't leave a lot of room for decorations. If you also look closely you will notice that it has nothing in it ;) I haven't decided who I'm giving it too yet or what kind of goodies it will get filled with so you can let your imaginations soar and conjure up something to picture it with ;D

Thanks for coming by today!

Isn't she cute? This little girl is from the Happy Mail set and I made her into a birthday greeting card. She has been water coloured with some re-inkers, Derwent Inktense pencils and chalked for good measure too :)

The second set of the day is called Love and was illustrated by our fearless leader Jessica :) Love is a 2x6 stamp set that includes a total of 11 of stamps and will sell for $7.

Welcome to day 1 of the There She Goes sneak peek blog hop. If you have arrived here form Miss Julie's blog then you are exactly where you should be, iff not then please start back at the TSG blog :)

Today I get the pleasure of introducing you to one of Di's newest illustrations called Back in Ten. Back In 10 is a 4x6 stamp set that includes a total of 17 of stamps and will sell for $15.

For my card I used this week's sketch challenge TSG91. I water coloured the bear image with my Derwent Inktense pencils and then cropped it to a circular shape using my Spellbinders dies. I then created a frame that pops up using the same dies and some faux wood looking paper by Crate Paper.

Bee Mine

Happy Monday! Well it is Monday so maybe it's not all that happy for those of you who work outside the home, so this card is for you just to make you smile :D From a stay at home mamma's perspective....Monday's are very happy around here because after hearing my kids fight all weekend...it's some very welcome peace and quiet ;)

I got the Beeemine Huggabug from Stamping Bella in the mail the other day and because Valentine's day is just around the corner, I decided that she needed to be front and center on my colouring list :D I have been lacking in the mojo department these last couple of days so I settled my buns at my computer and surfed around the blogosphere to find some sketches to get me motivated. This card follows the Card Patterns Sketch CP99.

Little miss Beeemine has been water coloured with some tombow markers and shaded with some chalk pencil. The green background that she sits on was water coloured first with some re-inkers and then sponged it with some Moss ink.

Just a reminder to all of you Bellarific Girls, since Emily will be having a blast at CHA this week, there will be no Bellarific Challenge on Friday. The Babes will be back in full force on Feb 4th so rest up until then because we will be putting you to work :)

Happy Sunday everyone!

The Monstah Bash

A Bellarific birthday bash that is! Happy Bellarific Friday everyone! It's not really any of the babe's birthdays, but this week's challenge was to use any Stamping Bella stamp in any way that you wanted. That's right folks...it's a free form challenge :D

Ever since Stamping Bella released this Monstah Bash image, I have wanted it :) These little monsters just make me smile! These fun little characters have brought along the glitter confetti and a very special blue balloon just for today's challenge ;) They have been dressed in their best vibrant colours using tombows and a water brush and stand amongst a sponged backdrop and some chalked shadows. Not only are they dressed in their best vibrant colours but the yellow cutie in the middle wore his freckles and that's a big thing because he's usually the shy one of the bunch ;)

Due to the Bella herself being at CHA next week, there will not be a Bellarific Friday challenge and instead, Emily will be trying to post some updates over at Bloggabella. Speaking of blogging...have you seen the sneak peeks of the new stamps? *swoon* Click on over to Bloggabella and take a lookie lou :D

Thanks for coming by and I hope that your day is less rainy than mine! I swear that someone is going to need to build and Arc for my family and my stamps soon....

Make a Wish

Today I made a gender neutral A2 sized card with the cutie of a bear from the Make A Wish set by Penny Black that is available from Stamper's Dream. The card was made to fit the CP98 sketch from this week's Card Patterns blog challenge. I don't generally leave a lot of blank space on a card but I love how the busy pattern on the designer paper disguises the empty space :)

This roley poley little bear was water coloured with tombows and is sitting on a bed of grass made from prisma pencils and gamsol with a little bit of sponging thrown in for good measure. He has been popped up on dimensionals and the daisies were coated in white gel pen since I got a little crazy with my colouring outside the lines ;) White gel pens can kinda of be a life saver when you are working with low lighting and little sleep :D

Thanks for coming by today and I will be back on Friday with another creation for you to see :)

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Penny Black Make a Wish from Stamper's Dream
Paper: Gina K, Water Colour, Espresso, My Mind's Eye DP, October Afternoon DP

SFYTT - Owlways Love You

Love is in the air for these love birds *giggle* Get it? Love birds? Ok, it's late and I'm tired and my sad and pathetic jokes are proving it because I start to say things like "not only are they in love but they are in love owlways and forever" *snort* ...somebody put me to bed!

Ahhh....Ok...I'm over it. I will try to keep my silliness in check and  tell you all about my card using the Cuddly Owlies stamps from Stamping Bella. This card was made for the January sketch over at the I heart 2 stamp blog. As of this month and to start the New Year with a little change, Jen took the SFYTT challenge and made it into a sketch that runs all month as opposed to new ones uploaded weekly. So my wonderful readers...if you would like to play along then you have until the very end of January to link your creations here.

I know that you all will be totally surprised when I tell you that these cuties were water coloured with tombows and a water brush. Please try and hold your shock a little longer because I know that this one's going to blow your socks off...it was popped up and sponged too *wink* One of these days I'm really going to surprise you and try something new, but I'm going to keep you on pins and needles waiting for that day to come ;0)

Thanks for coming by :D

Stamps: Stamping Bella - Cuddly Owlies

TSG90 - Wet Embossed Pup

It's challenge time over at the TSG blog and Corinna has challenged us to use wet embossing this week. Pull out your heat gun along with some embossing powders and get busy! You can emboss a solid image on your creation, emboss an outlined image and watercolor it, or showcase another wet embossing technique…your choices are endless!

For my card, I chose to just emboss my line art image so that I could water colour it with my tombows and a water brush. I shaded him a little to look dimensional and used some really fun papers that I picked up on my Saturday trip to the scrapbook stores with Angela. Unfortunately, I'm not sure of who actually makes these papers because they were cut into 6" squares and packaged with some coordinating papers without labels.

As with any of our There She Goes challenges, you could be eligible to win a gift certificate to the TSG store and here is how: you are to create a card that utilizes wet embossing techniques, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Jan 24th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

And of course you do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG90 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Limelight Nasturtiums

Hello all! Happy Sunday to everyone :) I hope that you are all enjoying a wonderfully relaxing morning like myself. This is just a little sneak peek of a post that I wrote for today over at the Flourishes blog. You might want to pop by there if you have a moment because this card might put a summer smile on your face :D

The Babe's are back!

TGIF! The Bella Babes are back and ready to take on 2011 with this week's cards :) Today we were challenged  to make a card based on this sketch:

...and because I made the sketch, that means that I can fudge it a little doesn't it? No? Oops ;) While I was busy making this card I didn't have my sketch sitting in front of my and I accidentally made the triangle panel cover a little more of the card than in the original sketch. Oh, well.

I used Solly 'Tude for the main image and the sentiment Love is in the air from Stamping Bella. I water coloured Solly 'Tude with my tombow markers and a water brush but only cut out and popped up the balloons. I applied hints of glitter to the back drop for just a wee bit of twinkle because twinkles make everyone happy :D

Thank for coming by today and for those of you who want to play along in next week's Bellarific Challenge here is your challenge: Free Form. That means any Stamping Bella images, colours and sketches welcome...really anything your heart desires :D Please remember to email Emily (emily@stamingbella.com) your creation by Thursday, January 13th for a chance to win some bella bucks and for your card to appear over at Bloggabella :D

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Stamping Bella - Solly 'Tude, Love is in the Air
Paper: Gina K, Espresso, Water Colour, Cosmo Cricket DP, SU DP
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Caramel, Chocolate, Baja Blue
Accessories: Sewing Machine, Cuttlebug and Embossing Folders, Spellbinders Standard Oval Die, Brads, Clear Embossing Powder, Twine, Button, Tombow Markers, Water Brush, Crystal Effects, Dimensionals, Corner Chomper, Quickie Glue Pen, Glitter

Celebrating Your Love

Welcome back for the final day of JustRite Stampers week at Stamper's Dream. We hope that you have enjoyed the last couple of days of posts through the Dream Team's blogs and there are some lovely creations today too :)

For this shabby chic style wedding card, I used the JustRite Nested Sentiment Custom Dies by Spellbinders and paired it with the curvy rectangles to create a new shape. I then used one of the many sentiments from the Wedding Nested Sentiments set as the focal image for the card. I added some lovely pearls to make the card girly and have a vellum die cut scallop heart hidden behind my hand made crochet lace flower. All the papers on this card are from the Prima Marketing Annalee line and were just the right muted shades for the soft look that I was going for :)

Thanks for coming by today and don't forget to pop by and see what Michelle, Christina, Amy, Lea and Tosh have in store for you :)
