Must. Have. Brains.
It's been a little bit quiet around these parts....
At the beginning of February, I started working again after being at stay at home mom for almost seven years. I really love my job at a local shoe boutique because the owner lets me work around being home for my kids, however this has left me very little time to craft and I haven't seemed to have found the balance just yet between work/family and of course hobby ;)
You are wondering where this is all going I'm assuming? Well, because I have been working during the hours that my kids are in school, I no longer have as much spare time to make as many fun things. Sooooo.... after much thought, I have decided that I need to pair back on some of my more recently joined design teams and that means that I will be saying goodbye for now to my friends at Stamping Bella, and goodbye to by friends at Stamper's Dream at the end of the month *sigh...sob*
I really had to think hard on this one and I had to put my family first until I can achieve the balance that I was looking for. As Spring is just around the corner and so are our many family camping trips I think that some extra family time will be very much appreciated from each member of my little family :D I have to admit that the thought of not making cards almost everyday is a little bit scary for me since I have been keeping that pace for quite sometime.
So with all of that said, I don't have much to show you today other than a cute little card that I made for Jessica to send out to one of her wholesalers :D This little grim reaper is from the Hauntingly Delightful set and I don't get to use these fun little images as much as I would like to. I water coloured the grim reaper with my tombows and a water brush and then cut him out and popped him up on my sponged background. I ended up keeping the layout simple and tested my sewing skill's on Corinna's Janome Mini while Angela and I were at her house earlier this month.:)
Thank you for joining the grim reaper and myself today :) I know that with me working that I may not have as many blog posts for you but please be rest assured that I will still be creating lovely things with both my Stamping Bella stamps and Stamper's Dream goodies, just not on a design team rotation but I will post when I can :D You will still be seeing some Stamper's Dream creations from me regularly until the beginning of April and can always see what's new with TSG when you come here :)
Thanks for being understanding and see you all when I can!

This is soooo cute Kim! At least 2 of my 3 teens would love this - my 19 yo son and my 13 yo daughter - especially the sentiment - so perfect with the stamp. Might have to buy that set :)
As for your news, it seems it is for the best for you right now and that is what is important. I am a new follower I think - I follow so many blogs as regularly as possible that I lose track - but what I have seen of your blog I have loved. I myself only wish I could make cards or something every day :) With 3 teens and a full time job, I rarely get time to craft.
I want to wish you the best of luck and I will "see you when I see you". I will not give up on your sweet blog and will check in regularly to see if you have posted.
Hi!! I wish you the best on this new adventure. I love this card, it made me smile. Thanks a lot for all the inspiration, I have learn a lot from you.
WOW. I love this guy sooo much. You did a great job on it. Best of luck with the whole balacing game - I do it too - it's tough.
Kim I just want to let you know that I am a huge fan and love the inspiration that you provide each and every day. But family comes first in this mad and crazy world of paper crafting and I so understand where you are coming from. I had to step back from Design Team work last year and though it was hard, it was so worth it in the long run. When your working the time you do have left really is needed by ones family and I am sure they will love you for it. I know that your team members will miss you greatly, but I am sure that they understand your situation. Praying for a smooth transition for you sweetie and I am still gonna be checking in with you here. Big Hugs.
Kim, this is just the CUTEST...I love the color tones, the image and that oh! so funny sentiment.
Just had to tell you that I am right there with you! After 12 years at home --- & a year & a half searching for a job --I went back to work last July. It was a full time job, which I didn't want but I had to take it. I am lucky enough to have been able to since go part time --but it's still 30 hours a week. I still haven't found that balance! I now make about a card a week & am on NO design teams. It's hard getting everything done, but I am glad I was able to stay home as long as I did!!
Ha! This totally made me laugh! XD
As for balance, well, you figure it out as you go along... sometimes one thing is more important - sometimes a totally different one. I still can't manage to make more than 1 or 2 cards a week, but that's mostly because I'm slow!
Good luck with your new adventures!
So sad to read your news today...as you can tell, it's three days after you posted it which means that I too have to find time to balance home, work and play. I wish you luck and happiness. Do what you love - love what you do and it makes all the difference my friend! Your contributions to the Bella team will be sorely missed but you can't get rid of me that easily...I'll be stalking your blog as I did before! You are so talented and your cards are to die for. I hope you find the balance you are looking for.
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this!!!!!!!!
