Baby Buttercup

Hi everyone! I back today with this ever so sweet little Baby Buttercup from Stamping Bella. I created this card for Mercy's Sketch Challenge this week (MTSC94) and I have to admit...it terrified me! I honestly don't know what I was thinking when I decided to take her sketch and make something with it...well...it was challenging! I'm pretty sure that those 3/4" x 4" pink paper strips were going to be the death of me! I persevered and completed the card though - Yay me :D

I water coloured the baby image over the weekend so I had it ready to tackle a challenge for this week. I used my tombow markers (of course) and added some soft sponging with some Ranger Distress Antique Linen ink to the very edges of all the papers. I quite like this look as it makes the soft blue from around the flower just pop :D

Just a reminder to all the peeps who are wanting to participate in the Bellarific Challenge this week, that it's all about Fall Colours. You guessed it! That means oranges, browns, greens and mustard's - they are all welcome :) Oh and before I forget, I'm pretty sure that Emily is offering up some yummy goodies for her Tantalizing Toooosday sale - skip on over and take a peek when you have a chance :D

Kim, this is gorgeous! Your watercoloring is amazing. I think I need to get my Tombows out and practice some more! You did an awesome job on that layout - good for you for persevering.

It is a beautiful card. You did a great job even though you were frustrated with the pink strips........what made them so frustrating.......trying to sew around such a small piece? Anyway.....love it! The center piece looks almost like an image on a piece of old soft leather or something. I like the shading around the edge.
