Getting Dirty with the Dirty Dozen!
Whoo hoo! It's that time of year again...you know...the time of year where there is 3 days of continuous challenges provided by the Dirty Dozen and Alumni to get you mojo movin' :) It's Dare to Get Dirty time and I was lucky enough to be asked by my friend Cindy Lawrence to make this card for her DTGDOnehappystamper Sketch Challenge :)
This challenge was a wonderful opportunity for me to use my Practically Perfect set from the Verve and make a welcome baby card for Laurie Wilson who had a precious baby boy on July 3rd named Wyatt.
This card is a 5 1/2" square card that I have rounded the corners for extra softness. I watercoloured the bunny with Tombow Markers and an Aqua Painter and then cut our areas and popped them up on dimensionals so that it's 3D. I sponged one More Mustard to make the backdrop for the bunny and to tie in some of my chosen designer papers. I know that these are unconventional colours for a baby card, but I wanted kind of a vintage feel to the card and it works...I think! lol
Don't forget to pop into the Fan Club Challenge Forum to see all of the day's challenges. They will be posted every hour with a different hostess and tons of fabulous samples :)
Card Recipe:
Stamps: Verve - Practically Perfect, SU - Riveting
Paper: Gina K, Close to Cocoa, Watercolour, Inque Boutique DP, Cosmo Cricket DP, My Mind's Eye DP
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Creamy Caramel, Soft Suede
