Right now I'm watching the snow peacefully fall outside while sitting in the dark by our twinkling Christmas tree and enjoying a sleeping household :) Just a few of my favourite things this time of year :) I ended up spending most of the evening shopping because earlier today it dawned on me that there is only 12 days left until Christmas Day! Ahhhhh! Can you feel me panicking? Please, please, please tell me that I am not the only one who has barely even started their Christmas Shopping!
So after my non eventful and non productive evening of shopping, I decided to come home and dive into the Feature Stamper Challenge who happens to be America Kuhn! Earlier this year I had the opportunity to be on the Clear Dollar Stamps DT with America and her work is amazing! Congratulations America :)
This is the card that I used for my inspiration piece. I just love her layout with the peaceful winter scene :) I chose to add a little colour, change the shape of the card to a square and used my Worship the Lord stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs.
I chose to break up the images on the stamp so that I could add the little tree to the bottom corner of my card. This worked out particularly well and it left me enough room to add my Rejoice! shrink plastic button. I actually stitched it to the card because of the small space that I had to play with. This country church has been drawn with snow and I think that everyone knows how much I {heart} liquid applique, especially for adding that extra special snowy touch! What can I say? Snow puts a smile on my face :)

Incredibly beautiful. I've not even put a dent in Christmas shopping...and with the cold and storm coming today...it's not looking good!
I'm loving your shrink plastic tags! I've got oodles sitting around and you've done a great job making it NOT look like shrinky dinks! As usual, beautiful work!
Kim, I just have to thank you for being such an inspiration!! I admire your work and visit your blog every day!!

Gorgeous Kim, love the rich rich colors and the snow just pops against the darker colors. Gorgeous card.
WOWZA! This is my most favorite card with this set!!!! I love the tree off to the side, and the path coming out of the circle. How on earth do you think of these things!?!
