Just Chillin'

I have been on a Whipper Snapper Christmas card making spree :) The other day when I was shopping with my friend, I came across this beautiful designer paper that was smothered in sparkles - you knew that I couldn't stay away from the glitter that long didn't you? Hehehe

The glittery stars where so whimsical and with a little imagination they kind of reminded me of a snow bank. Of course this is where my Cozy Critter's Penguin stamp came into play. He needed a playground of snow to really set off his cuteness, so I added some dimensional layers of "snow banks" that were encrusted with buffalo snow. You can buy buffalo snow at any craft store and it's a little safer to play with for this accident prone person that Dazzling Diamond Dust (actual glass shards).

I had a hard time capturing the image clearly due to a thick layer of crystal effects on the penguin. Penguins always look wet and slippery to me so this little guy is no exception :). In this picture you can see the buffalo snow with a little more definition. I added some falling snow with my gel pen and made the penguin dimensional. I am a huge fan of texture and dimension if you haven't already noticed!

You can see the layers a little bit better in this picture as well as my hidden button! I used the button to really lift up the snowflake and because it matched the designer paper! This card glistens with sparkle when the light hits it and really sets of the crystal! This card is a 4 1/4" square and is a nice change for me to work with as most of my cards are 5 1/2" squares :)
