Featured Stamper Becca Feeken

I was so excited to see that Becca Feeken was today's Featured Stamper (FS91) over at SCS! She is a fellow Our Daily Bread Designs design team member and just a wonderful person in general...not to mention very talented!

This is the card from Becca's gallery that I chose for inspiration. As per any featured stamper challenge, you have to change at least 3 things on the card. I chose to change the stamps, colour and added stitching. I also decided to use one of the stamps from the newest Our Daily Bread Designs release called the Lord is my Shepherd.

I ran into a big problem while making this card. When I started it I thought that I still had some wide burgundy grosgrain ribbon to add...well the card was ready to be assembled and I was wrong! I did find some ivory grosgrain ribbon and a bravo burgundy re-inker though! It was perfect - I would just dye my ribbon to match my card...note to self...next time wear gloves while doing this! I dyed the ribbon too dark so I thought that adding a little water to rinse some of the ink out would fix my problem. I ended up rinsing too much colour out from the ribbon and dyeing my hands a rather gruesome looking burgundy similar to what you should have seen on people for the night of Halloween. My hands look like they were bloodstained! Ughhh! This would have been find had I not been on my way out the door to run some errands...

Needless to say with a few odd looks from random people and a whole lot of scrubbing, the situation has been rectified.

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs - Lord is my Shepherd, Canvas, Peaceful Wishes
Paper: Kraft, Bravo Burgundy
Ink: Versa Mark, Bravo Burgundy, Creamy Caramel, Always Artichoke
Accessories: Sewing Machine, Cuttlebug and dies, Embossing Powder, Sponge, Brayer, Brads, Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals
