Meet Marvin and Marcy Mouse and their big ole wedge of Swiss. These little cuties were released in November from Clear Dollar Stamps. You must be asking your selves "Why is she posting this card so late?" Well, the truth is folks that I truly was not happy with my card and decided that it needed a makeover!
Here is the original card and to me, it was just too plain. I was a little bit frustrated that I hadn't received a charm that I ordered from a different company specifically for this card. That's why I used a button. Then I realized that although this card was jazzed up with some glitter, it was still lacking in interest. So I waited...
and waited for the charm to arrive...
I think that my waiting paid off because this darling little mouse charm cried out to accompany Marvin and Marcy :) - His tail actually moves when the card is moved! Oh yeah...the interest that this card was lacking was the beautiful bold designer paper from the Basic Grey Ambrosia Collection :) I am very happy to share with you that Clear Dollar Stamps now stocks the new lines of Basic Grey and the new Nestabilities!
Now back to our regular programming :) For the re-make of this card I added another layer for the mice, some taffeta ribbon and a half circle design using my punches. When I switched out some of the papers, the background colour of ink didn't match. I merely sponged some Apricot Appeal ink over the Creamy Caramel to blend with the rest of the card :) There is quite a few elements in this card, but it finally turned out the way I wanted it to. Whew! It only took a month! lol
I am posting this card on the eve of the December releases over at CDStamps. So in honour of that I thought that I would share the blog links of my fellow designers so that you can make your list and check it twice for when the stamps are available to order! No need to thank me for emptying your back accounts! *wink*

Kim, I love both the cards, but I agree, the first one looks bare compared to your usual style...now, tell me, PLEASE, what is your source for the mouse charm? Please share! LOL
Thanks!
Linda
