CD Stamps Sneak Peek - Farm Critters and Critter Messages

I got to showcase 2 new Clear Dollar Stamps sets in this card :) I used this cutie hen from the Farm Critters set and then added my sentiment from the new Critter Messages set that is designed to coordinate with most of the animal stamps that CD Stamps has released past and present! Both of these new sets will be released on January 1/09.

The hen was paper toled and to make her nest I cut up some rafia into tiny bits and then used some crystal effects to tack it down, I then popped her up on some dimensionals. I watercoloured the images with various re-inkers with my aqua painter and used the designer as the inspiration for my colours. I finally got a chance to use this funky scrapbooking wire to create the chicken wire look. I stumbled upon this goodie when I was supposed to be Christmas shopping for others...not myself. *grin*

Every month the CD Stamps Design Team is issued some challenges to follow for making up the samples with. This card was made for the sketch challenge that Laurie Wilson cooked up for us. Don't forget to pop by all the other DT's blogs to see what fabulous creations they have to share with you! :)
