Ways to use it - Quotes (WT186)

I made this for today's SCS Ways to Use it - Quotes (WT1686) using on of the newly release Our Daily Bread Designs stamps called Footprints.

Because this is a wonderful inspirational poem, I decided to take my card, frame it and make it a wall hanging. I used one of the frames that Clear Dollar Stamps sells and they are made to frame 5 1/2" or 6" Square Cards (I think that these are pretty darn cool).

I kept the card fairly clean and simple, but dressing it up a little by heat embossing the poem on gold leaf Prism Metallic Card Stock (from Our Daily Bread Designs) with gold embossing powder. This really has a very subtle, shimmer to it and then I sponged some Brocade Blue ink where the waterline would be and then some Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa where the sand line is.

I took my Sakura Gelly Roll pen and highlighted the foot prints so that they catch your eye as you walk by it and then paired my creation with some of my new Inique Boutique designer papers.

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs - Footprints
Paper: Papertrey Ink, Prism Metallics, Inique Boutique DP, Brocade Blue
Ink: Versa Mark, Brocade Blue, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa
Accessories: Sewing Machine, Gold Embossing Powder, Hemp Twine, Hodgepodge Hardware, Sakura Gelly Roll Pen, Sponges, Dimensionals, Frame

I can so believe you framed it! It is just such a pretty creation. One of my favorite poems.
