SC198 - Reason for the Season

Yay! I finally got to participate in a sketch challenge again - I must say that it has been awhile! This card was made to follow SC198.

I decided to add some homemade flowers to add some extra dimension and colour. They are my version of a Christmas Poinsettia and work nicely with the Imaginese Designer Paper :)

I started out only adding pre-sticky half back pearls to the upper left hand corner of the card and then went a little pearl crazy! I'm kind of one of those "more is more" kind of gals :)
Every layer on this card has been sponged with a coordinating ink to brighten the colours and make it pop. I took the red layer of DP and ran it through my cuttlebug for texture and then took my sanding block to distress it so that the snowflakes stood out more. I thought the sentiment from my ODBD set fit perfectly in this sketch and makes for a beautiful Christmas card.

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs - Reason for the Season
Paper: Papertrey White, Imaginese DP, K&Co. DP, Old Olive, Bazzil Bling, So Saffron, Riding Hood Red, Bravo Burgundy, Ruby Red
Ink: Old Olive, Versa Mark, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Sewing Machine, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Sizzix Dies, Button, Half Pearls, 5 Petal Punch, Boho Blossom Punch, Brads, Dimensionals, Sponges

How beautiful and feminine too! Love the layers and the pearls too! Great how you used the yellow in the centers of your poinsettias. The pearl in the button is wonderful too.
