Our Daily Bread Sneak Peek and Blog Candy!!!!

I had so much fun creating this box that can be used for anything, but it is the perfect size for 3x3" cards and envelopes. I followed Laurie's SCS tutorial and then made some matching scalloped note cards/gift enclosures. I used the soon to been released Our Daily Bread Designs, Peace on Earth stamp set (will be available to purchase as of August 15th). I chose to use the dove, because dove's always remind me of Christmas and the tranquility that we all crave at that time :)

Here is a close up of the detailed dove. It's really hard to tell in the photo, but I shaded it with a Sahara sand marker and blended with an aqua painter. I then added some glitz with my gelly roll glitter pen on the tips of all the feathers. I wish that you could see this in person because it has such a sophisticated shimmer that really makes the dove pop!

Here is a sample of the gift set together. I actually made 5 cards and envelopes to go with this and only took a picture of one of them because the rest are all the same :) You could probably fit at least 6 note cards and envelopes in this box.

This almost 3x3 card was cut out using one of my square scalloped Nestabilities. I used my Martha Stewart snowflake punch create the snowflake and then backed it with packing tape. This is the perfect techniques for making a little glitter window! I added glitter and then assembled. **Note to self to keep the glitter on the card and NOT all over the floor** Oopsy!! lol

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs - Peace on Earth
Paper: Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Watercolour, K&Co DP
Ink: Basic Black, Versa Mark, Sage Shadow, Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Dimensionals, Sewing Machine, Gelly Roll Glitter Pen, Martha Stewart Punch, Scallop, 11/8" Circle, 1 1/4" Circle Punches, Packing Tape, Dazzling Diamonds, Aqua Painter, Grosgrain Ribbon, Half Pearls, Sponges, Corner Rounder Punch

And now, what you all have been waiting for! (Thanks for patiently wading through my babble to get to the good part!! lol) BLOG CANDY!!
