Sunburst Dandies - July Artful INKables Release

Let me introduce you to Artful INKables Sunburst Dandies! This set is whimsical and fun to play with - and you don't even have to wait to order it as it is currently available for purchase :) I created this card mostly following one of SCS sketch challenge...then I added the vellum panel and it was a sketch challenge no more! Oh well! Hehehe I just would like to take a moment to advise you not to become friends with the owners of your LSS!! - Because this is what happens!

You walk into the store, minding your own business when you stumble upon a newer product that looks interesting. Well, then she takes a moment to explain how it works and then you end up purchasing the supplies to try it. You realize that the goodies are way too much fun to play with and that you will now scrounge up every last penny you own to purchase one in every colour!!! - I'm telling you that it is BAD for your bank account befriending stamp store owners!!!! Thank you very much Victoria - I will be in next week to get the rest of the colours! LOL

The product that I am talking about is Jewel Glitter Ritz Opaque Micro Fine Glitter and SookWang Tape Adhesive. This stuff is amazing!!! Would you believe that this glitter is adhered to a piece of white card stock?? The best part about this glitter is that it doesn't rub off on your hands and clothing once you have it stuck to your tape!! Gotta have it! It comes in an array of fabulous colours and I plan on stocking up on each and everyone of them - Victoria's evil plot I'm sure!!! LOL

Now that I am finished shamelessly promoting a new find to me - back to your regular programing!

I stamped and heat embossed the sunburst dandies on DP because I wanted the white to stand out. I then coloured in what would be the fuzzy parts of the seeds with my sakura gel pen, dotted the centers with cinnamon stickles and popped up the main bloom. The smaller dandelions have been coloured the same way with buttons added for fun. I stamped the backround DP with versa mark and applied irridecent ice to the leaves so that it has a subtle sparkle and added crystal stickles to all the certainly celery matting. This is one very sparkely card! The swiss dot panel is a piece of vellum and close to cocoa stuck together and then run through my cuttlebug.

Card Recipe:

Hey ~~ how did I miss this post?? This card is beautiful, & it still follows the sketch, just because you added one little panel ~ have you SEEN how some people alter the sketch? LOL!! Thanks for sharing the glitter & adhesive find ~~ they should post warning signs at the entrances of stamp stores ~WARNING: you will NOT be able to leave without getting completely sucked in & spending way too much money!!!
