Isn't this just the cutest little thing ever? I saw these little coaster calender fridge magnets forever ago on Splitcoast and have wanted to make one since then! This is simply made with a chipboard coaster (thieved from a local pub my my husband...bad boy...:) I didn't realize chipboard coasters were so hard to find! Anyhow, I thought I would give it a go using one of the new releases from Clear Dollar Stamps called Antique Flourishes.
The instructions for the coaster calender were pretty easy: obtain a coaster, glue DP onto the front, Magnet to the back and decorate (you can sand the edges to make a perfect shape to the coaster and then sponge too....that's what I did)! You can find the printable template for the calendar here and if you would like a 2009 version click here. Thank you to Cat at SCS for posting these for downloading! I don't often make 3D projects, but I am going to make a point to do so in the future because they are so much fun and a break from the everyday card making that I do!
This calendar is printed off and cut up. It is held together by the brads so that they can easily be torn off at the month's end. This little guy would make a cute edition to an office desk too!
Calendar Recipe:
Stamps: CDS - Antique Flourishes
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Basic Grey DP
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Versa Mark, Ruby Red, Baroque Burgundy, Old Olive, Always Artichoke
Accessories: Hodgepodge Hardware, Pretties Kit, Sponge, Embossing Powder

Kim, what a wonderful work of art this little coaster calendar is! I love how you pieced the little cutout flowers and leaves atop the month!
That is lovely, Kim! I love all your beautiful details (as always)! I can't wait to see what happens when you and the new AI stamps get together- magic I'm sure! Thanks for sharing that link with me. I think I could turn this into a cute and inexpensive project for my Girl Scout troop, as well! I have a stock pile of coasters!
