Light of the World

I love this set! It's called Light of the World and it was released by Our Daily Bread Designs some time ago. I have been in love with it since the moment that I laid eyes on all of the Design Team's cards!! I made this card for the Ways to Use it Challenge over at Splitcoast and the challenge was to use a charm of some sort. I don't have many charms so I made my own using one of the scriptures from this set...yep, out came the shrink plastic again (Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE shrink plastic?? lol)


I just thought that you might like a little close up of my "charm" :) Some of you know that I am a huge fan of Michelle Zindorf's brayer techniques. I have come to realize that I am not the master of the brayer that I dream to me, but I sure can tame an inky sponge! I have been having some fun getting completely covered in ink for the sake of creating a dramatic backdrop.


This card is multi-layered with some hand stitching and sheer luck *snort* I played with the layout of this card for a good hour before it actually came to look like this. I was aiming for an old SCS sketch challenge, but this card led me in the opposite direction. Sigh...what we do for the sake of art ;) lol
